Red traditional saree for Merinda

Recently I found a wonderful red patterned fabric during my routine fabric shopping, what come into my mind at the moment is to redo a tradisional saree which I had done in blue colour a few months ago. Normally I didn't repeat my design for the 2nd pieces, but for this time, I just wish to have it in the red colour. Basically the design is roughly the same, and as usual, Merinda rock the dress! I have put her into a naked shoot this time with only the veil and jewellery on to show the perfect body curve of her. She looked marvelous even without the saree. Hope you all enjoy the photos!

Egyptian Goddess

Taking another challenge, I brought Merinda back to the ancient eygpt, turning her into a egyptian goddess in my new gown inspired by eygptian queen. This gown basically is in a golden shade, with lots of jewelleries and including a hair dress which is done by me. Again, organza with beading as the top with an extensively beaded collar, metallic gold fish tail dress and a extensively long chiffon dress which is removeble on behind. There is lot of beads and sparkle, to create a luxurious element in this dress. Too bad I am unable to find a black colour hair for her at the moment, so I had to used what ever I had. I was thiking to have an outdoor shoot for this gown intially, but I am unable to find a suitable spot that can match the mood of the gown, thus the photoshoot ended up with a black background.

Merinda in blue crystal ball gown

Is been more than one month that I didn't post anything on my blog mainly due to the chicken pox infection happened to me few weeks ago and the heavy acedemic stuff I have to settle after taking a break for almost 2 weeks. I guess I am back into my track again now. Just finished another commission gown from my regular customer, Don which is a blue shade ball gown with beading and laces over the organza top (again, it is an iconic design for NiGel.ChiA) accompany with the full tulle layering dress. It seemed like I do really like Merinda and cannot get enough of her for every photoshooting. She is just too gorgeous I guess. She is wearing the new mohair wig and crystal hair band that I ordered form LUTS and look like it is better than those synthetic hair, it looked more natural. Indeed, I seldom design ball gown but this design turn out to be quite nice. Curently I am still working on my couture extravaganza collection, it is taking me quite a few months already but things seemed going slow. It plan to be released on this july if everything go smoothly as what it is planed to. So, enjoy the photo!

Indian goddness in traditional saree

Merinda is an Indian blood lady, the moment she put on the saree that I design, she rock the dress! With her darker skin tone and classic Indian feature, she just transformed into an indian princess. For this time, I have made more jewelleries for her to complete her look. It does look a lot different with those jewelleries! The combination of blue and gold create a contrast on her skin tone, making her stand up in the grassland! The photo shooting is done on the morning where the lighting is perfect, soft natural sunlight making the photos look great and I don't have to stand under the hot sunlight to take her photo and sweating! It feels so good with this kind of weather. The photoshoot last about 1 and a half hour and around 200++ photo being taken. I am very satisfied with the result. I think Merinda enjoying wearing the saree and dance on the grassland too!Photobucket

Merinda in 1st couture gown

This is Merinda 1st photoshoot after I done the face up for her. Wearing a sheer organza top with fully beads and laces embellishment, and a simple hair do, she look like a stunning star ready for walking down the red carpet. It took me almost 1 month to finish up all the heavy beading work; I guess this is the most beaded gown I ever made untill now. The photoshoot is taken indoor as well as outdoor. I reused the background I printed for my Valentine shoot and luckily it fit on my 65cm Merinda as well. The outdoor shooting was done in the backyard of my hostel, where is my favourite spot for outdoor shooting as there is huge grassland and trees with seldom people passing by, thus I can do the photoshooting in whatever style I wish to. The skin tone of Merinda look much fairer under the day light, so it is quite different on the real skin tone of her, I wonder why?

Arrival of Iplehouse Carina, Merinda

It was Monday, 28th Feb where Carina arrived at the office of my hostel after 2 almost 2 months of waiting. Indeed, I sold my Alessandra in order to get her as since the day it is being released by Iplehouse as the belly dancer, I cannot resist to own her. She has the indian exotic look, sensual eyes, high nose bridge and a thick delicious lips! I ordered her by the custom doll system with special real skin tone and it cost me around USD755 but it is all worth. It was when my lunch break hour where I have to rush back to my hostel office to get her. As usual, she came in a large Iplehouse box, well lying in the sponge when I opened the box. Wow, her real skin tone is darker than I imagine, but she looks gorgeous in that tone. Valentine also joined me in the box opening process; she seemed to be excited like I do. haha....Up next is to face up her and I can't wait to see her with makeup and wig on. I named her Merinda, which is my 4th supermodel in the house!
